Prologue:
(We begin in Mr. Grun's lair. It is nearly dark aside from a few lights showing and electronic sounds being heard.)
Mr. Grun (being shown in his normal light):Torgo, is he ready?
Torgo (walking out of the darkness):Yes Master.
Mr. Grun:Prepare the unveiling then.
Torgo:Yes master.
(Torgo pulls a lever and slowly from the ground the steel table rises similar to "Revenge of the Sith" when they reveal Vader. Instead revealed is Zack Skier in a Gold Robot Fury suit.)
Mr. Grun:Well done, it's time that the Blue Avenger met his match.
(He presses a button turning Skier's eyes blue and causing him to break off the chains holding him down. Skier walks up to Grun.)
Skier:Robot Fury...
End Prologue
Scene 1
(We find Bassford, Grey, and Orange sitting at the office looking annoyed.)
Orange:What exactly is the point of us being here an hour early?
Grey:From what White said, it's a special occasion.
Orange:Are we at least getting paid for this?
Grey:Nope.
Orange:Oh what the hell!
Bassford:Relax guys, I'm very sure there is a very good reason why Mr. White asked us to come into work an hour early.
Grey:The last time he did it was to show us slides of his vacation to the Bahamas.
Bassford:That was just one bad case, like I said I'm sure there is a GOOD reason for this.
(John White enters the office happily and power walking.)
White:Alright, I bet all of you are wondering what you're doing here. Well, I have a major announcement. As you all may know my nephew Joshua Black graduated from Capital State University just a few months ago and well now I present to you, my nephew, Joshua Black...
(Suddenly the lights shut off and spotlights shoot all around the room. Two men roll out a red carpet at the entrance and smoke appears from outside as the theme from "2001: A Space Odyssey" plays. A figure appears and enters slowly before he starts coughing heavily from the smoke. He stumbles to the ground and is quickly helped in by the two assistants.)
White:Alright, alright, turn the lights on!
(The lights turn on showing Joshua Black. He has curly brown hair and glasses while wearing a dark suit.)
White:Joshua, are you alright?
Black (still struggling with breathing):I'm okay Uncle John, just can't breath well.
White:Alright, you two! (Pointing at the two men) Find whoever wanted to use the smoke machine and fire them immediately!
Man 1:Sir, it was you actually.
White:Did I ask you to tell me who it is? Just fire them or you're fired!
Man 1:Okay...
(Man 1 and 2 look at each other, shrug their shoulders and walk away.)
White:Alright, with that said, I am making some changes to who does what around here. Grey and Orange, you can keep your jobs, but Bassford...you're demoted!
Bassford:Demoted sir?
White:Yes, I still haven't forgotten about that "Deus Ex Machina" mess from last week!
Bassford:But sir, my body of work speaks for itself!
White:You're body of work may speak for itself, but your body in general also speaks for your laziness and incompetence! Until I find a reason to give you your job back I am hiring Black to cover The Blue Avenger while you will be regulated to doing manual labor for minimum wage around here!
Bassford:But, sir!
White:No buts, do it or else you're fired! As for you two (pointing to Grey and Orange) get to work! Joshua, come to my office, it's time you see those 6 years of college pay off!
Black:Yes Uncle John.
White:Oh, and Bassford...I want you to collect trash on every level of this building!
Bassford:Ugh...
End Scene 1
Scene 2
(We find Bassford days later entering the office wearing a blue janitor's suit. He sits down at the table where Grey and Orange are having coffee.)
Bassford:Three days on this job and I'm already tired of it. In three days I've cleaned every floor twice, taken out the trash 3 times a day, had to scrub the bathrooms on every floor twice, and Mr. White has turned me into his servant!
Grey:Think of it this way...(he stops speaking)
Bassford:...well?
Grey:Nevermind, I can't find a positive.
Bassford:Exactly.
Orange:Why don't you try and quit? Go for another job? I'm sure any paper would hire you based solely on your stories of the Blue Avenger.
Bassford (slightly angered and annoyed):I don't quit anything! I never leave a task unfinished, I fight for (slips into Blue Avenger voice) truth, justice and...(he stops realizing what he's saying)
Grey:Go on...?
Bassford:Uh...erm...the honor of labor unions all around America?
Orange:That's your first problem, theres no union here, Mr. White is against it. Forming one would just get you fired.
Grey:And you don't want to get fired, that ruins your resume.
Orange:So you're pretty much stuck here unless you quit.
Grey:Yeah, you're screwed.
Bassford (down-trotted):Thanks for the confidence guys...
Orange:No problem.
Bassford:I just can't imagine how this day could get any worse...
(Bassford's phone rings)
Bassford:Hello? Yeah sure, I'll be there in a minute. Yes I can make it 30 seconds. 15? Not so much (yelling is heard over the phone) Ok, ok, 15 seconds it is!
(He runs out, upstairs, and into White's office out of breath. In the office sits White at his desk and Black sitting across from him drinking coffee.)
White:Bassford, what are you doing sweating? You're stinking up the office!
Bassford (completely out of breath):Sir, you made me run a long distance.
White:Like I said...your body in general speaks for your laziness and incompetence! Also, I said 15 seconds!
Bassford (getting angry):S-s-sir..I tried the best I can!
White:You did, but I said 15 seconds, not 13! On top of that, Joshua tell Bassford what you think of his coffee.
Black:Really Bassford, this coffee is just terrible...like the Blue Avenger (pointing at White who laughs with him)!
(Bassford is getting red and angered at this point.)
White:Hear that Bassford? The boy's sharp, I tell ya! Haha!
Bassford (completely red and angered at this point):Mr. White! I...
White:Oh, (looking at his watch). Bassford, hold that thought until another day, Joshy and I have an early weekend to prepare for. Now if you excuse me Bassford, we're off...oh and do make sure you clean this office and come in the next two days to clean as well
Bassford (calming slightly):I will...sir.
White:Good, let's go Joshy!
(Black and White exit the office and head out while Bassford sits down with his hands on his face.)
End Scene 2
Scene 3
(We find Black and White heading to the parking lot of the J.W. Post.)
White:Well, nice week. Sorry we couldn't get any real work for you Joshy.
Black:It's alright Uncle John. I'm sure the Blue Avenger is still running scared from you after what you did to him last week!
White:Of course, I am "The White Knight" for a reason. Nothing can get me!

Frederick Douglass Paper
In it's early years, America enforced slavery particularly in the southern states. Many slaves spent there entire lives working hard labor for no pay. Others, such as Frederick Douglass managed to break away. In his autobiography "The Narrative Life of Frederick Douglass", he examines the evils of slavery mainly their affect on people. He states that slavery affected everyone including slaves, slave masters, and people who weren't even involved in slavery.
One negative effect of slavery is that it changes people. When Douglass was young he was being educated by his mistress. Whenever he wasn't working in the fields he was learning how to read and write. Soon after her husband found out, she stopped and suddenly grew bitter and cynical towards Douglass. She had gone from a caring woman to a mean, bitter woman.
Slavery also had a psychological effect. When reading on the History of America, he discovered that the nation that promoted slavery once fought a war based on individual freedom. This made him angry towards his slave owners and toward the country to which he lived in. There were other times where Douglass was suicidal and thought he would never get out. Slavery had driven him to insanity and hatred.
Conflict was also created by slavery. Abolisionists in the North sought to end slavery. However, the South resisted and often riots would break out. Douglass, an abolisionist himself believed that if something would not be done soon, an even bigger conflict would break out. People who were fighting against slavery were in danger due to the unpopularity of what they were attempting. Slave owners saw abolisionists as terrorists due to the belief that what they were doing was right.
Overall as Douglass would explain, slavery was the one true evil in that it changed people, affected them psychologically, and created conflict.

Research has shown that those who fail to achieve an education usually devolve into a life of crime and immorality. Hsun Tzu was an ancient chinese philosopher and disciple of Confucius. A strong believer in education, Hsun Tzu uses metaphors and natural images to make his argument that through rigorous training and study man can overcome his inherent evil and become a gentlemen. An example of his beliefs is in his writing entitled “Encouraging Learning”. Here are some examples from the text, itself.
An example of a metaphor used by Hsun Tzu is a piece of wood. The piece of wood as straight as a plumb line may be bent into a circle as round as a compass. Once this has happened it may never be straighten again as the bending process has made it that way; this in such to the education of a young man. Once the man is educated he cannot be “uneducated” and thus has achieved knowledge. Another metaphor would be a piece of metal. If metal is placed against the grindstone it can be sharpen, just as if the gentlemen studies wisely and each day examines himself, his wisdom will become clear and his conduct will be without fault.
An example of natural images would be ice and water. When froozen water becomes ice and thus ice is more frozen than water. The same logic can apply to a gentlemen and child. The child, with an education can grow to be a gentlemen and thus the gentlemen is more knowledgeable than the child just as the ice is cooler than the water. One other comparison can be made to a crab. A crab has six legs and two pincers, but unless they can find an empty hole dug by a snake or a water serpent, they have no place to lodge just as if the human doesn’t have the proper education, they tend to not be able to find a place of their own in the world and usually devolve into a “lesser quality” of life in order to try and achieve what they want.
As a piece of wood can be bent, a piece of metal can be sharpen, water becomes ice, and a crab finds its place, a human with an education can be successful, knowledgeable, and live a proper life. Through his uses of metaphors and natural images such as the ones above, Hsun Tzu is able to get his point across that through rigorous training and study man can overcome his inherent evil to become a lively and successful gentlemen. The studies have shown that without such an education must humans have no direction in life and nowhere to go and thus are usually forced…by their own will…to devolve into crime and immorality. However, they can avoid this through a proper education and support.

Hsun Tzu Essay
Hsun Tzu was a Chinese philosopher and disciple of Confucius. When Confucius died, his followers split into two groups. One such group believed that the rites that Confucius advocated could produce virtue and rectitude because humans possessed these qualities. However, the 2nd group, to which Hsun Tzu was a part of, believed that the Confucius program of rites and observances were necessary because humans were inherently evil. Overall, I agree with what Hsun Tzu is saying.
With a strong belief in education, Hsun Tzu believed that only by rigorous training and devoted study could change human nature. Most people enter the world with the belief of only themselves and thus need education to learn more of life. Without such education, the human being does not know what it needs to know in order to go through life properly. The human only knows itself and cares for itself the most. Through education they can learn unselfishness and discipline among other things.
Hsun Tzu saw the education of a child in the same manner as sharpening a piece of wood or sharpening a piece of metal with a stone. If such was done correctly, the piece of wood would become straight and the metal to be sharp just as the child would become a gentlemen. However, if such goes wrong the wood is rendered useless, the metal is dull, and the child faces a long, vigorous task ahead of trying to get through life without the benefit of a proper education. To get his point across, Hsun Tzu published various essays.
One such essay states that learning should never cease. The meaning of the such statement is that you’re never too young to learn nor are you too old. Learning begins at birth and doesn’t stop until your final day. No one ever fulfills complete knowledge of the world, but they attempt to learn whatever they can to get through life with knowledge and dignity.
Overall, without and education and life training, a child cannot succeed in the world in the best way possible. While they do learn throughout their entire life, they may not exactly “learn” in the most.
