Overview:My assignment is on the fascinating and challenging world of Journalism. Its about how to get into Journalism, what colleges offer it as a major, the pros and cons of Journalism, and how certain people got into the profession in the first place.

Out of all the colleges in North America, only 476 offer Journalism as a major. Within 1000 miles of my home, 340 offer them.(College Board)

Definition of Journalism:the occupation of reporting, writing, editing, photographing, or broadcasting news or of conducting any news organization as a business.(dictionary.com)

Colleges I'm Considering that offer the major:University of Maryland at College Park, Shepherd, Penn State-University Park, Kent State, and St.Johns(NY)(Fastweb.com)

What Journalist Majors do:As a journalism major, you’ll not only master the art of reporting and writing, but you'll also learn about libel and other legal issues that affect the media. And you'll learn what it takes to survive in a tough, but often rewarding, business. (mymajor.com)
