The article I have selected is from April 22, 1991. The contents of this article revolve around the retirement of Johnny Carson, the Host of The Tonight Show. Carson would end his run on The Tonight Show in 1993 and was proceeded by Jay Leno, who in 2009 left and was replaced by Conan O'Brien. This article is significant to me because one of the things I've always wanted to do in my youth was to have my own TV show. I've strived for this by taking Theater in High School and by writing various comedic stories and such. I hope to one day be able to get into Hollywood and to have my own television show mainly because if theres one thing I like to do it is to entertain others whether it is through my stories, my movies, or even just by having a conversation. Maybe sometime down the road I'll become the host of the Tonight Show just as Carson did in '62, Leno in '93, and O'Brien in '09.
